How are you spending your summer?
How are you spending your summer? As relaxing as it may be to chill at the pool or hang out with friends, what if you chose instead to make an eternal impact in the lives of kids right where you live? High school and college age students from around your state are coming together to reach the boys and girls of your community – and YOU can be a part of this team!
Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) is a program designed to train you and a team of other young people in effective and engaging ways to teach children about God. You will attend a one week training school where you will learn to present the Gospel clearly on a child’s level, counsel a child for salvation and lead a dynamic club ministry for kids. Components of this club include teaching a Bible lesson, a real-life missionary story and a Bible verse as well as leading songs, games and a fun review time.
After this training, you will return to your local community and teach clubs at various locations with a team of other young people. These clubs take place out in the community with predominantly unsaved kids who don’t regularly attend church. You will be able to take the light of the Gospel to them in their apartment complexes, day care centers, neighborhoods, schools and other community locations. You will teach clubs from one to five weeks during the summer.

What is Christian Youth in Action®?
CYIA™ is training that equips you to share the Gospel in an effective way to reach children. Christian Youth in Action® is training that is a part of the International Ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship.
What church sponsors and who can come?
CEF® is an interdenominational ministry that works with any church that agrees with our Statement of Faith.
CYIA™ is training for Christian young people who have a desire to serve the Lord and reach the children with the Gospel. Anyone age 12 and up can attend. However, you must be able to sign our Statement of Faith and share about the time you received the Lord Jesus as your Savior.
Where and when is CYIA™?
Where: CYIA™ training takes place at Red Springs Misison Camp in Red Springs, NC.
When: CYIA™ is a nine-day training that takes place in the summer. Students will stay overnight at Camp Good News for the duration of the training. In 2024, training camp will be held June 7th-15th.
What are the application deadlines?
Early registration ends April 1st. Complete applications sent in with medical forms will have a waived registration fee. Applications after April 1st will require a non-refundable $25 registration fee. Regular registration ends May 1st.
Cost and travel info?
We encourage CYIA™ missionaries to invite others to financially partner with them in ministry. We can provide CYIA™ students with a letter template to invite others to pray about partnering with them. We are passionate about training the next generation to share the Gospel and seek to keep all individual costs as minimal as possible by partnering with the larger body of Christ. Training camp, materials, t-shirts, transportation, and lunches during ministry weeks are paid for by generous God-directed supporters of CEF. What are 5-Day Clubs®?
5-Day Clubs® are the Bible clubs that are taught by CYIA™ students after training. They are held in the community (daycares, parks, rec centers, apartment complexes, houses etc.) for an hour and a half each day for one week. In these clubs children will hear Bible Lessons, Missionary stories, Bible verses, songs and more. 5-Day Club® is completely run by trained CYIA™ students with an adult to supervise.
